Pre-Care Tips for Your Brow Treatment

How to prepare your eyebrows for treatment

Solid preparation before your brow treatment is key to achieving fantastic results. Just think of your eyebrows as a blank canvas – when the skin in the treated area is healthy and in optimal condition, the possibilities are endless!

To ensure the best outcome, here are some important tips to follow in order to prepare your skin before your appointment:

  1. Avoid tinting, tweezing/waxing, or electrolysis in the area to be treated for one week before the treatment. (For Microtouch™, it is recommended to start following these guidelines one month before the first session.)

  2. Refrain from sunbathing or getting a sunburn on your face for two weeks prior to the treatment.

  3. Avoid any facial treatments within two weeks leading up to your appointment.

  4. Do not use products containing Vitamin A and/or Retinol in the month prior to treatment.

  5. Refrain from engaging in sports or activities that cause excessive sweating on the same day as your treatment, as this can open up pores.

  6. Avoid Botox injections for at least three weeks before your scheduled treatment.

  7. Do not take Vitamin E or fish oil supplements one week before the treatment, as they act as natural anticoagulants.

  8. Refrain from consuming alcohol 24-48 hours prior to your treatment, as alcohol can dilute the blood and lead to excessive bleeding.

  9. Avoid drinking coffee before your appointment.

  10. Refrain from taking aspirin or Ibuprofen within the 24 hours leading up to the treatment, as they can thin the blood.

By following these pre-care instructions, you are setting yourself up for a successful appointment. We look forward to seeing you soon at the Debi Brows Studio, where we'll create beautiful brows together!
